A Note on Conspiracy Theories

Ok, so there are a lot of conspiracy theories out there. Theories abound about the Illuminati, and this global cabal that is secretly ruling everything and wants to take over the world. These are supposedly the people responsible for wars, the current financial system, and this ongoing plot to sedate and enslave humanity for their own benefit. Also there is some very compelling evidence in support of these theories.

I think it’s important and I’ll tell you why, but I’ll also tell you why I’m not going to get TOO much into them. And the reason I am doing this at all is because soon I am going to ask you to watch “Zeitgeist” and some other documentaries, and I want to avoid giving the wrong message. These documentaries highlight the practical, real-world consequences of certain governmental policies, and these are FACTS. Deciding whether these policies were put in place by mistake or by some evil organization is something I leave to you. We just need to know what’s wrong and what we need to change. So, as to why it’s important…

It is important because it is important to KNOW. These theories, like all conspiracy theories, are backed up with a lot of evidence, and will at the very least GET US THINKING. We need to know if indeed our liberties are being curtailed, and if so, how. We need to understand that what is presented to us in the media may not be a true reflection of what is happening. And so on, and so forth. The point comes back to the main point I am always trying to make: each of us has to think and question for ourselves.

Now, as to why I won’t be harping on conspiracy theories:

  1. With conspiracy theories, the burden of proof falls heavy. Are you going to go through each and every document that is provided as evidence? Probably not.
  2. Secondly (and more importantly) IT DOESN’T MATTER IF THESE THEORIES ARE TRUE OR NOT.

Just look at the world. Conspiracy theory or not, it’s really fucked up. Our liberties are being taken away, the planet is being destroyed, and all the while the people of high-tech societies (us middle class peeps) have been blinded. We are looking away as our children’s future is being looted, while we get drunk and watch bullshit on TV.

You know what is the scariest possibility? Not that the Illuminati is in charge, or the Masons, or the Banks, or the whatever… it’s that NO ONE’S in charge! And we are all just scrambling about afraid of upsetting someone else, whereas if we just kind of looked around and asked each other we’d find out that WE ARE ACTUALLY DOING THIS TO OURSELVES. We have become prisoners of our own stupidity.

  1. And finally, in the end, it doesn’t matter if there is a conspiracy. We don’t have to fight anyone. We don’t have to go to war with anyone. All we have to do is come together and say WE WILL NOT TAKE THIS ANYMORE. You see, ours is a peaceful revolution. It is a revolution of minds. It will be fought and won with hearts, not bullets. It will be fought and won with reason, not bombs. Even if there is some super-organized evil power wearing the mask of world governments and corporations, all we have to do is say, “Hey, Man, we don’t want any of this. We can take care of ourselves. We don’t need your bullshit media, we don’t need your caffeine and MSGs, we don’t need your lies and bigotry. We can take care of ourselves.”

AND ALL OF THIS IS CONNECTED. The political side of this issue is connected to the spiritual issue in each and every one of us. One human being cannot stand up against an evil empire, but EVERY human being CAN look into themselves and addresses the issues therein. Every human being must do that, because only then can all of us rise as one race in harmony and mutual respect for ourselves and Nature.

You don’t need to be Maximus Decimus Aurelius and stand up against all of Rome. All you need to do is solve your own bullshit, and then you won’t be susceptible to someone else’s real or imagined agenda.

And believe me, all you have to do is have courage, and Nature will lay the path out ahead of you. Nature loves courage. If you don’t believe me, listen to Terence McKenna say it in the very short audio clip below. And after that, just to end on a fun note, watch Maximus Decimus Aurelius stand up against all of Rome.
